The set-up is easier but we also want to be here if you need us, so our Consumer Care team is well prepared to help you seven (7) days a week. We have streamlined the process to help minimize your time on the phone. We can even set up an appointment time to walk you through the installation of your fence (some time restraints apply).
Cutting Edge Technology
The Collar harnesses the next generation of wireless fencing technology. Patented antennas integrated into the rubberized collar strap provide a reliable path of constant communication to the Controller. This enables the System to track the real-time distance to your dog, alert you if your dog breaches the wireless electric fence boundary or if the Collar’s battery is low. Integrated Motion Sensor Technology allows the Collar to conserve battery life when your dog is not moving.
Collar Design
Our comfortable water-resistant Radial-Shape2 Havahart Wireless Electric Dog Collar maximizes the safety and freedom for your dog. The Rubberized Collar strap houses the Havahart Wireless patented antennas allowing the system a more reliable path for constant communication. The collar has a new stainless steel buckle and tongue that secures the strap in place.
The battery cap has been redesigned to be flush with the battery housing and requires a coin to open and tighten the cap, securing the battery in place. The complete weight of the collar is 3.7 ounces and covers neck sizes of 10 - 17 inches.
Customizable Settings

Using the Controller, the Collar can be programmed to tone only (auditory correction) or one of 5 different static correction levels depending upon the size, age and temperament of your dog. The default correction level is tone only. The Collar should not be on your dog for more than 12 consecutive hours.
Easy Set Up

With the touch of a few buttons, the Collar can easily be paired to your System. Long or short Probes (included with your System) can be used depending upon the thickness of your dog’s coat.
Safety Features
Havahart® Wireless created a wider Trigger Zone- 6 to 13 ft- to keep your dog safe and away from danger.
The Collar is designed with a Safety Time-Out Feature that stops the correction cycle (a series of static pulses) after 30 seconds. After the correction cycle times out, your dog will not be corrected for returning to the Roaming Area. Once your dog returns to the Roaming Area the Collar will revert to its normal operating mode and correction will occur only if he again enters the Trigger Zone.

Advanced Technology Makes it All Possible
The Radial-Shape Havahart® Wireless Dog Fence is driven by nanoLOC TRX 2.4 GHz transceivers that have been enhanced with complex algorithms, strategic distortion filtering and modular signal amplification.
These enhancements boost the performance of the Havahart Wireless Dog Fence systems over the competition by providing enhanced signal strength, smarter filtering cabailities and more reliable communication, delivering advanced time-of-flight-ranging technology.
Havahart® Wireless dog fence systems use the Kalman Filter, the same data-filtering technique used by NASA. Through advanced analysis, Havahart Wireless systems are capable of rejecting the statistical anomalies that can result in a fuzzy boundary.
This analysis, combined with the appropriate hardware and software, pushed the nanLOC transceiver to perform beyond its standard capabilities.
This translates into a crisper boundary, giving the Havahart® Wireless electric fence systems the ability to maintain constant signal strength throughout the entire electric fence boundary.
What truly sets the Havahart® Wireless electric fence system apart from the rest and defines how a wireless electric fence should really work, is its patented time-of-flight ranging technology.

Time-of-flight is the time it takes for a signal to travel from
a the Controller to the Collar and back at the speed of light. By continually communicating to the Collar, the Controller is able to track the real-time distance to your dog.

Based on the data that is continually captured, filtered and refined, the Controller will determine whether or not a correction should be delivered. Better yet, with motion sensor technology, if your dog isn’t moving while in the Roaming Area, the sampling rate becomes less frequent, saving battery life.
These enhancements comprise the core of the patented elements that provide an unparalleled level of technical sophistication in the wireless dog fencing industry.

Works great! Easy to setup and tailor the settings to my yard. My only complaint is that the collar is a buckle not a snap clip collar. This makes it harder to put on and take off.

We live in a neighborhood where almost every house has a dog or dogs. I do not have a wireless or invisible fence, but many of our neighbors do. I know that the invisible or wireless fences don't always work, because if a dog wants to chase a squirrel, cat, chipmunk or rabbit bad enough, that dog will take the shock through the barrier and once out of the wired area, the dog is out and down the block. Our one neighbor has 2 dogs with the underground wire and one dog always breaks the barrier while the other dog has never gone beyond the wire. The problem with invisible or wireless fences is that you never know if your dog will stay in the barrier or break out and keep going until you've spent the money to find out.
Our backyard is fenced for the dog and the front is not. I wanted this Havahart Wireless Fence for two reasons, to give the dog some play space in the unfenced front yard with me and to be able to go anywhere and keep the dog in a confined area. When I say to be able to go anywhere, I mean if we go camping, on picnics, visiting friends or leaving the dog with a relative. The beauty of a Wireless Fence, is NO wire- meaning you can take the controller, collar and your dog anywhere. The portability concept is wonderful- IF it works.
The set up of this Havahart Wireless Fence is unbelievably easy. You charge the batteries- they give you 2, but only one is in the collar. It's great to have the extra battery to quickly replace the one in the collar when it needs recharging. You set up the radius you want to contain your dog's space in, on the controller. You then place the controller on an outside wall in your home. Then measure the outside space and flag the perimeter- our front is 52 feet by 50 feet- you must measure in a circle- so we flagged 50 feet. The collar has an antenna wire inside the neckband, which tells you how many feet your dog is from the controller, whenever you want to check- we found this to be a very helpful added feature.
We purchased another collar, as Havahart stated that 2 collars will work inside the perimeter of one controller, and decided to see if this works on 2 dogs- my neighbor's dog and ours. We are talking about a border collie and german shepherd- both highly intelligent dogs that love to learn new things and new games. The actual shock the dog gets from this Havahart Wireless collar, we tested against our neighbor's invisible fence collar. My neighbor's husband was the guinea pig. The invisible fence collar is an actual mild electric shock that gets stronger. This Havahart collar has one tone- with 5 correction levels. He said it was more of a buzzing, then became a sort of electric buzzing, then what he would call the shock, was about 20 times milder than the invisible fence shock. Our neighbor said this was too mild to work, but I was actually happy that the shock was mild.
Now comes the training and this is where I found out if this works for both dogs. A couple times each day, my neighbor and I just introduced the flagged area to the dogs with the collars set to tone only. We taught them to recognize the flags and the collar tone mean stop. This took 5 days. We then set the collars to low static correction- a kind of buzzing pulse that tells the dogs they are outside the flagged area. In the second week, we had to teach them to ignore all the wonderful things outside the flagged area and to stay inside when the collars buzzed. When you remove the flags (If you choose to- we found out some dogs need the visual and collar both) and have the dog focus on just the collar buzzing, this is where you need to spend some time with your dog, as it was a slower learning process with the border collie because she has a natural tendency to chase and round up everything that moves. The german shepherd was an easier train than the female border collie with her naturally free spirit. After 2 weeks, the german shepherd would move back with a low level buzzing type shock, but the border collie couldn't resist chasing a squirrel. We will spend more time on the border collie, but she is such a free spirit, I don't know how long it will take or if it will work at all.
As for our german shepherd, he was trained immediately and we took the controller to my brother's home, where we set it up with a 65 foot perimeter and he stayed inside that perimeter for the entire afternoon. The mildest buzzing stops him, so I found out it's all about the dog, training the dog and not about shocking the dog. This is a wonderful wireless fence and the best part is, that if your dog is easily trained, you can take the controller anywhere and contain your dog with nothing but a buzzing collar.
