Customizable Wireless Boundary

This is the first invisible dog fence that allows for you to create a customizable boundary that conforms to the contours of your property providing a consistent reliable boundary without requiring any digging and at a fraction of the competitor’s costs. 

With optimal results, the Custom-Shape Havahart® Wireless Dog fence can expand your dog’s Roaming Area up to 500 ft. in any direction. Optimal results are dependent on an unobstructed direct line of sight between fence boundary and the system Bases.  Additionally, the farther apart you can place your Bases, the greater your coverage area can reach.

Exclusion Zones

The Havahart® Wireless fence provides up to 4 Exclusion Zones that can be created within your Fence Boundary.  Exclusion Zones are areas on your property that you want to restrict your dog from entering like a pool or a large garden.  The Exclusion Zones must be a minimum of 12 ft. by 12 ft. wide & placed at least 20 ft. from the Fence Boundary, Base or other Exclusion Zones.  This will allow your dog freedom to roam the  yard in his designated areas.

Enhanced Collar Design

Our comfortable water resistant Custom-Shape Havahart® Wireless Electric Dog Collar maximizes the safety and freedom of your dog. The new collar strap is made from heavy gauge nylon webbing that houses the Patented antennas and has a durable 3/4 inch snap buckle closure.  The collar fits dogs with neck sizes from 14-26 inches. 

The battery cap has been redesigned to be flush with the battery housing and requires a coin to open and tighten the cap, securing the battery in place.  The total collar weight is 3.7oz.   This wireless fence system can accommodate up to 2 collars.

Portability

Unlike a professionally installed wired fence, the Custom-Shape Wireless Electric Dog Fence is completely portable.  The small size of the Controller and Bases allows you to easily take the system with you if you move.  If you ever alter the shape of your wireless fence or move, make sure to reset your training flags and retrain your dog to become familiar with the new Roaming Area.

Safety Features

Havahart® Wireless created a wider Trigger Zone to keep your dog safe and away from danger. 

The Collar has several Correction levels.  This allows you to pick the best one that fits your needs and your dog’s temperament.  The Collar’s default setting is Tone Only (auditory correction) but can be programmed to one of 5 different static correction levels. 

The collar is designed with a Safety Time-Out feature that stops the correction cycle after 30 seconds. After the correction cycle times out, your dog will not be corrected for returning to the Roaming Area.  Once your dog returns to the Roaming Area, the Collar will revert to its normal operating mode. 
 
The system will alert you if your dog has breached the Fence Boundary or if your Batteries are running low.

Wireless Fence Tracker

The Custom-Shape Havahart® Wireless Fence Tracker provides you access to our Proprietary Web-Based Software which will aid you in setting up your Wireless Fence Boundary and testing.  This is the first of its kind.  The program allows you to see the location of your Wireless Fence Boundary and Exclusion Zones in relationship to your Bases on your Windows-based computer. 

Requirements for using the Wireless Fence Tracker include a Windows-based Operating System, high-speed Internet connection and the latest version of Java. Additionally you may need to download the latest USB Drivers to your computer.

The Custom Shape Havahart® Wireless Dog Fence is driven by nanoLOC TRX 2.4 GHz transceivers that have been enhanced with complex algorithms, strategic distortion filtering and modular signal amplification.

These enhancements boost the performance of the Havahart® Wireless Dog Fence system over the competition by giving them enhanced signal strength, smarter filtering capabilities and more reliable communication to deliver advanced time-of-flight-ranging technology.

Havahart® Wireless dog fence systems use the Kalman Filter, the same data-filtering technique used by NASA.  Through advanced analysis, Havahart Wireless systems are capable of rejecting the statistical anomolies that can result in a fuzzy boundary.

This analysis, combined with the appropriate hardware and software, pushed the nanLOC transceiver to perform beyond its standard capabilities.

This translated into a crisper boundary, giving the Havahart® Wireless electric fence systems the ability to maintain constant signal strength throughout the entire electric fence boundary.

What truly sets the Havahart® Wireless electric fence system apart from the rest and defines how a wireless electric fence should really work, is its patented time-of-flight ranging technology between the Bases and the dog Collar.

Time-of-flight is the time it 

takes for a signal to travel from a Base to the Collar and back at the speed of light. By continually communicating to the Collar each Base is able to track the real-time distance to your dog.  Based on the data that is continually captures, filtered and refined, the Base can determine whether or not
a correction should be delivered.

Better yet, with motion sensor technology, if your dog isn’t moving within the Roaming Area, the sampling rate becomes less frequent, saving battery life.

Trilateration 

When radio signals are sent from the antennas of the Bases, they propagate in a spherical manner.  When at least 3 Bases provide 1 common point of intersection, the wireless fence system is able to accurately pinpoint the real-time location of the Bases or the Collar. Because each of the Bases is at the same relative height throughout the home, the intersection of the 3 spherical signals is known as trilateration.

Event Stamp Mapping

As the Controller moves along the flag line, the Master Base records each trilaterated point of your wireless fence, thereby memorizing the location of the entire fence.  This process of memorization is known as event stamp mapping. Similar to the way GPS technology works, event stamp mapping allows you to create a wireless electric fence of virtually any shape and dimension.

Exclusion Zones

The Custom-Shape Wireless Dog Fence System can create Exclusion Zones that are recorded inside the Roaming Area to keep your dog out of designated locations such as large gardens and pools.

Trilateration combined with event stamp mapping enables the Custom-Shape Wireless Dog Fence to track the real-time location of your dog in relation to the Wireless Fence Boundary.  This allows the system to know when your dog crosses into the Fence Boundary Trigger Zone, deliver a correction and alert you of the breach.

LIMITED WARRANTY TO ORIGINAL PURCHASER

Woodstream Corporation warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period from the purchase date. Activate your warranty online at www.havahartwireless.com or return the completed form included with your product.

All parts are covered under warranty for ten (10) years from the date of purchase by the original purchaser and labor is covered for a period of one year (and under no circumstances to exceed a period of 365 days) from the date of purchase by the original purchaser. Thereafter, a service charge may apply for the repair or replacement of the product. This warranty DOES NOT cover any accessories. This limited warranty begins on the original date of purchase, and is valid only on products purchased and used in the United States by the original purchaser. To receive warranty service, the purchaser must first contact Woodstream Corporation for problem determination and service procedures. Please have the product available when discussing your experience.

If Woodstream Corporation determines that this product needs to be returned, Woodstream Corporation will issue a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. The defective unit or parts must be returned to Woodstream Corporation, or specified authorized agent, for warranty inspection with the RGA number labeled on the outside of the package within (10) days of return authorization date. Products returned without authorization will be refused.

Woodstream Corporation will repair or replace this product, at Woodstream Corporation’s option and at no charge as stipulated herein, with new or reconditioned parts or products if found to be defective during the limited warranty period specified above. All replaced parts and products become the property of Woodstream Corporation or authorized agent. We just moved into a new house and needed a solution for containing our lab puppy without putting up a "real" fence. We found the Custom Havahart system last minute and decided to give it a shot. It only took our one-year old lab 5-6 days to be able to roam the yard freely. We have a big creek in the back yard that he used to run in for the first couple weeks we had the home, now he won't even consider stepping foot in there becuase it is blocked off. We were skeptical at first, but the Havahart system has been absolutely wonderful!

We've only had the collar on our dog for about two weeks and I have to say it's been a God-send to us. Our very stubborn 8 month old red-boned coon hound only needs to hear the "warning tone" and she turns right around and comes back to the house. How Many Flags Will You Need?

You will need 1 flag for every 6 feet of your fence boundary perimeter.  

• If you have 1/2 acre to contain, you will need 100 flags.
• If you have 1 acre to contain, you will need 150 flags.

Expert Tips on the Custom-Shape Havahart® Wireless Electric Dog Fence

Maximixing your Fence Boundary

In order to ensure a successful set up, please look for the following objects in your home and on your property prior to set up:

Interior of the Home:    Mirrors, microwaves, and home appliances.

Exterior of the Home:   Metal down spouting, electrical power
                                          meters, air conditioning units,      
                                          metal garage doors, large shrubs
                                          that reside on the perimeter of your home.

Property Layout:          Large bushes, trees, extensive  
                                        landscaping, above-ground pools, sheds
                                        and metal screened porches.
   
Once you have identified the following items, you can start planning your Controller and Fence Boundary locations.

Placement of your Bases

• The Master Base A should be placed in the corner of your home closest to where your dog spends most of his time outdoors.

• Bases should be placed at a minimum 20 ft apart.  The farther the Bases are from each other, the better their tracking capabilities.

• Bases should be located 3 feet away from and 3 feet above the signal limiting items listed above for the Interior and Exterior of your Home in order to minimize the factors that can cause attenuation.

• In some cases, placing a Base on a window might solve issues you might have with objects in the home causing attenuation by creating a direct line of sight between the Base and the problem area.  

• Make sure the Bases are located within 6 feet of a 120V AC outlet.

• The Bases must be installed indoors as they cannot be exposed to moisture (ie. rain or snow).

If there are Dense Objects located on your property

• Extend your Fence Boundary beyond these obstacles to accommodate for the undesired shape.

• Move your Fence Boundary in front of these obstacles to avoid creating an undesired shape.

• Utilize the Pause Feature (see Instruction Manual) to create a Fence Boundary through these obstacles.

Obstacles that May Cause Severe Attenuation

Home Construction:    Aluminum Siding

Property Types:         Densely Wooded Lots or Extensive  Landscaping

Note:  In some cases the obstacles on your property such as a heavily wooded lot or extensive landscaping might be so dense that the system will not provide you with a Fence Boundary shape that satisfies your needs.  

Although we would like to say that the Custom-Shape Havahart® Wireless Electric Dog Fence will work on every property type or home construction, we unfortunately cannot.  Even with our superior patented technology, there are instances when the successful operation of any Wireless Fence will be very limited and not meet your needs.  Because your satisfaction is important to us, we want to make sure you are aware of these circumstances prior to making a purchase.     

FAQs About the Havahart® Wireless Electric Dog Fence

Q:    Will the wireless fence interfere with my computer, TV, cordless phone, cell
        phone or garage door opener if I place the Controller (of the Radial-Shape
        Wireless Dog Fence) or Bases (Custom-Shape Wireless Dog Fence) near
        them?

A:   No. The wireless fence works on a different frequency than those used by these
       electronic devices..

Q:  What objects in my home and yard might cause problems or interfere with my
       Fence Boundary?

A:  Objects that can interfere with your wireless fence  include mirrors, microwaves,
       home appliances, electric power meters, air conditioning units, metal screened
       porches, metal downspouts, trees, large bushes and above-ground pools and
       sheds.

      These objects can affect the shape of the Trigger Zone and make it slightly
