We recently installed our own 4-ft picket fence and a couple of the posts weren't exactly the same height as the others, so I bought 2 of these to hide the imperfections. They're perfect! Good quality and I didn't even bother securing them to the 4x4s... they fit snugly on the posts.

This is a nice wrought iron planter that fits on top you a post. I purchased 2 of these and have them on fence posts by my garden by my vegetable garden to add some color. The would be great on a deck if you have the up-right posts to hold them. Well built and I think I will get many years of use from these. Replacement liners can be purchased at Walmart.

I bought two of these to install on my backyard deck railing. The planter isn't huge -- 12" -- but the size is appropriate for the location.
I removed the casing on the bottom that is meant for installing on a mailbox or deck post, and installed each planter using 2 stainless steel screws and stainless steel washers (overkill) I purchased from a local hardware store. There are a number of holes available in the bottom for easy installation.
Pro: I like it, and I think it looks good. Con: It would have been nice for the company to have included at least a couple outdoor rated screws with the planter.

Easy to install in a 4x4 post (requires screws) Replaced a bird feeder destroyed by squirrels. I'm giving 4 starts because vase isn't large, it's kind of ugly only have this vase on a single post. So I complemented adding two planter hangers on each side of the post holding two same style vase.

I was looking for these types of planters to group on poles in my flower gardens. Ordered 3 to see if they would work for my project. The baskets themselves were of good quality, but were too small. Might work well on deck post, where you would want a smaller planter. Had to send them back:( I really needed 14 or 16".
