I bought 3 of these for my back deck railing. They look super nice and really frame the area.
Some small cons: The birds like the liner for their nests. This is a pro and a con. The pro is we've attracted some very pretty birds (in combination with our feeder) the con is the liner is starting to look a little ragged. It'll probably last one more season before I trash it and order a new liner.
I live in CO and the air is very dry. Hence, my plants in these feeders are very dry as the desert breeze dries out the line very quickly after watering.
Amazon Review, These look great on the deck rail September 24, 2013

I wanted to add a little flower color on my deck and these did just the trick. They are each about big enough for 3 plants of Mexican Heather, which can thrive in the heat. Only problem is, you do have to water very often (something I'm not good about). But that should be expected of a planter that isn't even in the ground!
