Directions for Using the Victor® Poison-Free® Fly Magnet® Disposable Fly Trap (#M362):
| Print PDF | CAUTION: Assemble the trap inside and wash hands before going outside to hang the trap. The attractant is very powerful. Yellow jackets can sting and cause allergic reactions in some people.
- Open trap.
- Remove bait packet.
- Open and empty bait into the jar.
- Add 2/3 cup of water to bait or add water to Fill Line.
- Swirl water and bait together.
- Hang trap away from human or pet activity. If trap will be used during an outdoor activity where food is present, place traps out at least an hour before food is brought outside.
- As trap fill, add water to keep yellow jackets submerged.
- Once the trap is full, discard in your normal trash collection.
Tips: - During peak yellow jacket season if the trap is full if yellow jackets enter holes and leave again. This means that the trap surface is entirely covered with insects.
- In the early part of the season (spring) and later (fall), you may want to check the trap by carefully opening the top and looking inside the trap to determine if the trap is full. If you choose to check the trap, do so in the very early morning or in the evening when yellow jackets are less active.
- Once the trap is full, discard in your normal trash collection.
Note: - The attractant will last about a week during normal temperatures. Extremely hot weather will cause the attractant to evaporate quicker.
- The trap is not intended to be reused; however, if the surface of the inner board is still sticky and not full with insects, you may re-bait the trap with Safer® Brand Yellow Jacket Attractant available from your retailer. Re-bait inside and follow the precautions outlined above.

A large bee decide to pay a visit inside my house last night, I previously used poisonous aerosol killer; however, I did not want to expose my toddler to poisonous chemicals so I used Safer Wasp & Hornet killer. It worked perfectly... it really does spray 15ft, WOW! I didn't need to risk getting stung and within seconds the bee had a "dying twitch". I was also pleasantly surprised with a nice citrus scent it left. I'm a believer!

Excellent trap if you have a yellow jacket or black wasp problem. Fill it half full with apple juice, dispose of dead yellow jackets every 2 or 3 days, clean and refill.

I'm not sure if this is the exact same product by Victor but I loved it! It worked poison free, CFC free, plant extracted, non-oily, kills in seconds as not to suffer, smells wonderful actually like strong mint and eco friendly. WOW can it get better.. yes!It shoots 15 feet! I got stung in my mouth so I'm scared silly of these bugs. They hover round my side door every Spring/Summer w/o fail. Made on east coast too.I've been hunting this down all season & now I'll be ready & waiting. Thank you so very much.

I send you good news -- your new baited yellow jacket trap system solved a big problem at our golf course, El Diablo, in Citrus Springs, FL. We had yellow jackets all over our course – they were pesty and aggressive. Many of our golfing customers were getting harassed and stung.
We placed a number of your Victor traps out and caught several thousand yellow jackets – they love your attractant. Our problem, though not eliminated, has been dramatically reduced – it has made a big difference. We are believers!
I know that other golf courses in the area have a similar problem. I will be informing my counterparts of your product and its effectiveness. Thanks again for helping us solve our pesty problem.
Sincerely,
Nathan T. Pyles, General Manager

I use this in my yard in Anchorage. I put in about 2-3 inches of water and some salmon scrap. In the last two days I must have caught 100-200 bees. I love this trap, but the plastic is cheap and I had one crack once. I have reused this one for a few years. I try lots of meats, but salmon is the killer up here, at least that seems to draw the yellow jackets like crazy.
