Safer® Brand Insect Killing Soap - 32oz. RTU

This OMRI®-listed and compliant for use in organic gardening pest control formula kills a variety of insect pests but won't harm beneficial insects when used as directed.

The Safer® Brand Insect Killing Soap utilizes the power of potassium salts of fatty acids (insecticidal soap). The potassium salts weaken the insect’s waxy protective outer shell. Apply every 7-10 days when insects are present or as needed to prevent further damage.

This is what makes Safer® Brand's insecticidal soap ideal for aphid control and mealybug control as it will dehydrate the insect by breaking down its waxy membrane.

Since Safer® Brand Insect Killing Soap, is a contact killer, several applications may be needed for full control.  As a general rule, much like watering, do not use these products in the peak of the day or when temperatures exceed 90 degrees F to avoid wilting or browning of the leaves.

1. Shake Well

2. Use at first sighting of insect or when their damage appears

4. Spray leaves to the point of runoff

  Great for Roses September 06, 2011

After using other products in the past, this year I used the Insect Killing Soap on our rose bushes and it did a great job warding off a variety of pests. It's super easy to use, even for this novice gardener, and I'm happy to have found an organic solution!

I've been using soap solution, but that dries out the leaves, and the scale comes back. Used this and scales dropped that afternoon, haven't come back, no harm to the leaves.

My poor ficus was being eaten by mealybugs and I didn't know what the problem was for a long time. After doing some research, I found this product. I used it a couple of times, but my plant was pretty infested, so it didn't eradicate them right away. You need to do subsequent treatments once a week. I finally trimmed the heck out of it and sprayed again. So far, so good. My plant is bare, but with lots of baby shoots and I'm happy it survived.

I have used the killing soap and am highly satisfied. I have watched the green bugs keel-over after a few sprays. I guess they are stink bugs.
