This feeder is excellent. Best one I've ever had. It allows larger seeds and nuts into the feeding port and not get stuck, backing up the rest of the seeds as other feeders do. Seed stays dry even during the hardest rains. Birds love it. Squirrels hate it. Perfect.

This can be a constant battle for many back yard birdfeeders like yourself. You may want to consider trying a more holistic approach to preventing squirrel damage. Try pole mounting or hanging your feeder, making sure it is at least 10ft from the closest launching point and at least 4-5 ft above the ground. I hung this feeder & in less than an hr. squirrels got one of the side plates off & actually there are teeth marks where it chewed , upset because this wasn't a $2 feeder. Those plates come off very easy, would not advise anyone to get
