Home Depot Review, Keeps squirrels awayAugust 14, 2013
Got it to feed the cardinals, I must my finicky birds in yard. I filled it with cardinal blend bird seed, they fly up to it, sit on the pegs and look at the feed. At least while the birds are still figuring out if they want to use it or not, squirrels eating the feed has not been an issue. I will have to write another review after birds start using.
Home Depot Review, A Finch FavoriteAugust 08, 2013
My family enjoys backyard birding so we like to try out different bird feeders. This one is made of a metal cap and ports and an acrylic tube. The metal cap is secured to the hanging wire so that it slides up and down for easy re-filling. I liked that none of the black-oil sunflower seeds spill out from the ports when I fill up the bird feeder, and the two vertical slits in each port prevents larger birds or squirrels from accessing the seeds. Even though we have already have a finch feeder, the American Goldfinches and House Finches in our yard seem to prefer this feeder. One downside is that the bottom two ports are not parallel with the top two ports, as shown in the photo, but I don't know if that was intentional in the design
