Love this bird feeder! It's easy to fill and the "raised" openings prevent the seed from falling out. It is designed to hold three different types of bird seed, but I've been using only one type of seed. Five finches have been feeding at one time; the grosbeaks, nuthatches and chickadees love it also. The squirrels have a hard time reaching into the side openings to get the seed, however, they've figured out how to slide the top up to get at the top seed holder. I suppose some type of weight could be added to the lid to prevent it from being lifted. I just purchased the same type of feeder for my mom to enjoy as well.

Good quality feeder. Nice selection of smaller / midsized birds. We've had everything from gold finches to red headed woodpeckers to blue jays, but it's difficult for birds any larger (even a little difficult for blue jays). Not squirrel proof, but works well with a baffle.

It is easy to put bird food into. It does not spill. It outlasts hurricanes and squirrels (they really do spin right off). It is easy enough for cardinals, sparrows and bluejays to use. It doesn't let pigeons really get to the food, but that may or not may be so bad.
It does not come with any watch to attach the bird feeder to anything. This one is a no brainer but may save some people a second shipment from amazon. Order some picture hanging wire (the steel mesh) and an eye-hook and you can secure this thing to anywhere.
Also a tip for people who want to easily pull the unit down. Lift the green roof and pull the steel wire out of each side to let the plastic piece fall off. The plastic piece can then be refilled and re-attached to the hanging part.
Great product.

I have used this brand of feeder for years. It always attracts birds. It is sturdy, easy to fill and holds a fair quantity of seeds. All the perches fill up quickly and stay filled most of the day with goldfinch, purple finches, juncos, nuthatches, woodpeckers.

The 3 chambers in this feeder make for a flurry of activity every day! It's easy to fill, and clean, and the birds can peacefully share the space. The holes are designed to give the birds free access without hurting themselves. The top stays on, and so far, the squirrels haven't been able to get at the seeds. This is far and away a better choice than those boring tube feeders!

It does attract a lot of birds, which my cats love. Only possible downside is that it is hard to fill without spilling quite a bit of bird seed. Other then that it rocks.
