Temperament

If your office were hiring a dog, they’d want a Border Collie. This breed is hard-working, intelligent and at times intense, always intent on finishing its task as directed. They are also obedient, contributing to their reputation as excellent work dogs.

Activity Level

Border Collies are a high-energy breed with high exercise requirements.

They like to run, and they do not do well in a confined space such as an apartment. They also like to herd when given the chance. Offering some sort of daily mental stimulation is also key to a well-behaved Border Collie.

Family Orientation
(good with kids, or other pets?)

Border Collies generally do best with older children. They can have trouble with other pets, often chasing dogs and smaller household pets, which makes them a better fit for one-pet families.
